Beautiful campus And friendly staff. Looking forward to visiting again. We were inspired to open our home to more children.

Gina Krieg is the most disrespectful women I have ever encountered. The fact that she is responsible for taking care of orphans shows how broken the system is. She is rude, cold and does not care at all about the sick boys. I wouldn’t trust her to watch my goldfish. She shows a horrible and negative attitude around the boys and will eventually cause the boys more harm than good. They have already went through so much trauma and the verbal abuse they see Gina display in a public setting will only further harm the children. Verbal abuse is the same if not worse than physical. It is not acceptable and DCS should be contacted. She needs an attitude adjustment before she is allowed alone with these children.

This is a place where children who have nowhere to go no parents are loved and taken care of and talk the gospel of Christ. This is a very good cause. They are always in need of donations food and clothing for these children who have unfortunately lost their parents due to tragedy or drug addiction.

I was at the Spring Hill campus in the mid 80’s. Hopefully things have changed from 40 years ago, because I was abused there by foster parents and other children. I was in the Moore’s house at first then latter moved to the Quillens. I ran away from that place 2 times trying to escape the abuse. I tried to report it to the administration back then but was threatened to be sent off to taff, spensor or TPS.

I’m honestly not sure where all the good reviews on here has come from but I urge everyone to please stay far away from this place! This place will call DCS on you if you need assistance of any sort. I went to these people for extra support for my daughter and possibly looking into their therapy service. We were assigned with a case worker name Misha Cummings. I thought that she understood the situation and I was feeling better that my daughter was getting the help that she needed. I was wrong. I look around and DCS is at my door. I didn’t even have to ask who did it. I put two and two together and knew that it was her. I was so shocked and hurt that she would do this. The case was closed as it should be. I honestly felt sorry for the gentleman having to make the trip over nonsense that didn’t even needed to involve DCS but the case manager, Misha could’ve made the trip to our home. That was very low on her part and you know that they say about karma. But now it has an effect on me and my family especially my daughter. Shes now feeling like everything is her fault and fears that DCS will take her away. I’m telling constantly that that is not going to happen! So please don’t ever contact them otherwise DCS will be at your door.

I was in youth villages when I was a teenager. The first day I got admitted I had people wanting to fight me. I don’t understand because they just met me. We went to a class & I needed to go to the bathroom & teacher said no & i walked on past her & she had the whole class attack me. They spit on me & kicked me in my face.

Everyone was very professional and seemed to care a lot about the Youth Village cause. I do think that maybe either a new curriculum for orientation or new teachers should be considered though. I’m sensing that there is some burn out from repeating the same material with a few of the instructors.

When I was 17, My birth mother sent me here because she never wanted me and she was miserable for her parents to take care of me.When I first gotten here, I was quite but as time went on I gotten to know all the Resident workers, they was cool. Back than it was setup for girls and boys and you had to learn Time Management, Leadership and go threw lessons and study so they would quiz you each time you pass, than you will have scores to where you get points and be quiz on how to take MTA Bus stops and following the route times and etc. Once you achieve that, than you can start applying for jobs to move you up to go home. It was A good learning experience and the Food they serve was good and they did lots of fun activities like Bowling and Skating and etc. This place is the best avenue to learn Time Management and Self Discipline by the choices you make… ??????? Good Place still miss it!!!!

I hope that they don’t get rid of this for a few houses. I was a kid that was sent there and I will say it was an experience that I will always remember .I was 14 years old and was sent away from my home because if the trouble I was .Places like this do help kids find there way now in today’s world where a parent can’t even spank a kid without it being called abuse . Ever wonder when kids started becoming uncontrollable and started shooting up schools ….ii was a kid who had to get my own switch and was spanked with it bare assed from my grandmother since my mother was Paralized in an Auto accident when I was 3 .I got it old school and I never thought about shooting up my school ..since the government has taken away a parents RIGHT !! to spank there kid when needed since after all there still children who need to be guided and yes sometimes with some pain to let them know who’s the BOSS! At any rate I tend to ramble kids like me who the guardian cannot control thus is a place that might help them become normal humans and be a positive influence in there becoming Adults. Otherwise well you will have young kids running out of control when they get mad doing god knows what and yes even killing someone all because they dident have any structure in there life .I know that I was in several homes as a teenager before I was released and they did make a difference in my life .

It’s closing to focus more on community and foster home placement rather than group home living. Long story on why I know about this place.
