a month agoI went to this clinic on a Sunday I was seen straight away. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate. The facilities were clean and sanitized, and the location is quite easy to get to. It’s right off of 280. Overall, the best part for me was the staff I was made to feel very comfortable and they went the extra mile to help me because I had limited mobility at the time. I definitely recommend this place if you’re able to call ahead and make an appointment I do recommend doing that but if not, you can also walk in.a week agoThe staff at this facility are top notch. I love my primary physician but know that I can also go to this facility and get the same amount of care. I wish I could remember who I saw today but I felt well taken care of and was listened to. Thank you for your service!a month agoAlways make an appt before going. Upon arrival, smooth check in and friendly staff. Once in the room, I was attended to promptly by the technician and PA. Overall experience went smooth! Premises is always clean!7 months agoVery nice staff , esp Dr. Feeney . I was seen and evaluated , given prescription and went my way to rest at home . The office very clean updated and spacious . Will come back if needed in the future .6 months agoThe NP is great but the front desk or the nurse assistant should not be on their cellphones. As i walked in, it’s supposed to be an “ Urgent care” my baby had a fever. I was hoping for the assistant to get the temperature right away after getting my information. Instead after approximately 4 min that i asked to get my baby’s temp at least.

2 weeks agoBlue Pearl Vet is the best vet I have been to in the Bay Area. I had multiple interactions with them over the course of a couple months. Dr. Michelle Martin de Bustamante (a dog opthalmologist who cared for my dog and ultimately performed surgery), was top notch and the staff – Natasha, Marina, Vi and others – were all so friendly and compassionate every time I spoke with them. What a pleasure to deal with such nice people. When Dr. Bustamente performed surgery on my dog, she called me before and after she operated on my dog just to let me know what was happening. Their medication instructions were well thought out and easy to follow (we had to give a ton of drops at 2 hour intervals) and when I had a question, I wasn’t left on hold for 15 minutes. I drive 35 minutes to get to them but the difference in care compared to other places we have been (Vet Vision, Sage, Mid Peninsula) is significant. Really recommend this vet!
7 months agoThis place is great. Very positive experience. The communication from the very start was excellent, and continued to be so throughout the entire ordeal. The hospital was incredibly communicative, transparent, and so very helpful. They explained what they wanted and needed to do every step of the way, they gave me an estimate of the cost prior to the treatment, gave me updates as to how my cat was doing throughout the process, and amazingly they were even able to keep everything within a certain budget that I had requested! Most importantly, they took excellent care of my cat, and sent her home with medicine, treatment, very clear instructions, and tons of thoughtfulness and care. Thank you BluePearl!2 years agoThis was better than a human ER, I wish I could go there when I need emergency care for myself! The night we brought our cat in was incredibly busy at BluePearl, but the staff were very prompt given the high amount of incoming patients & were very good about communicating as they assessed the situation.Details on our appt: They asked us before shaving our cat’s fur to look for wounds, they asked us before doing xrays, they told us up front what the estimated costs would be, but most importantly, they were kind & attentive in caring for our cat. Veterinarian Emily Wiehl was exceptional & we’re so thankful that our kitty is healing up well with their recommended after care. They gave us a referral to talk to a surgeon in case we wanted to get a CT scan for our cat, but also were clear about their own assessment vs the opinions of the off-site radiologist, we felt we were able to make an educated decision without being swayed one way or the other. Emergency vet care is always understandably costly, but BluePearl was more affordable than we anticipated & the quality care was worth the price. Thank you so much.
10 months agoHad a very positive experience at BluePearl. Our dog’s behavior suddenly changed and it was clear he was uncomfortable and in pain. His regular vet was out for the day and their office gave us a list of other vet offices and emergency services to contact. We called many places and were told they were too full. BluePearl was one of the only pet hospitals nearby that took animals on a first come first serve basis. We couldn’t go inside due to COVID protocols, but the staff that came out to us in the parking lot were incredibly kind and helpful. The vet called while our dog was inside and explained the prognosis and treatment options. They were very thorough and answered all our questions. We left with peace of mind and much needed medication to make him more comfortable. The whole visit, which included exam, treatment, blood work and check out, only took two hours start to finish. We also found the prices reasonable and appropriate for the care received. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
a year agoI recently had a very scary episode with my dog who suddenly developed what appeared to be, a neurological issue. My current vet was unable to see him on an emergency basis but referred me to several emergency veterinary practices. Each of the ones that I contacted before Blue Pearl where unable to see me for less than 4 hours, and told me that I would need to sit in the waiting room for periods between 4 to 6 hours before I would be seen by a veterinarian. Needless to say, with the symptoms that my dog was exhibiting, that was not acceptable. I called Blue Pearl last, as they were the furthest from my home, but I had seen some good reviews. The following is my experience. From the moment I called, the staff was accommodating, honest and seemed very invested in making sure my dog was seen ASAP, and that I felt at ease. I was able to get there within 12 minutes of my house, parking was excellent.
When I arrived at the clinic, my dog became incontinent, and the excellent front office staff made me feel at ease with this. They cleaned it immediately. I was embarrassed, but they were totally accepting. It made me feel really comfortable.
There were other clients ahead of me, but the staff let me know this was the case and let me know exactly what the status was of my dogs visit.
The wait was much shorter than expected. Staff from the back office came out and spent time talking to me and telling me what it appeared to be from the symptoms that he was exhibiting. They were excellent at suggesting what I might do on my own before seeing a veterinarian, including doing a drug test at home. This was definitely engineered to try to save me some money in terms of veterinary fees and laboratory testing. I was very understanding and in retrospect, thankful for this input. I opted to have my dog seen by a vet and have the testing done there, as I just wanted to have an answer one way or another. Only then, did the staff then arrange to have the dog taken in the back to be seen by a veterinarian.
He was seeing rapidly, and the testing done right there. Within a short period of time, the vet came back with the results of his testing and a plan of care. I cannot tell you how much comfort that gave me. She also took a good amount of time to discuss the findings, and what an appropriate plan of care would be. I can I tell you how comforting this was.
Throughout the experience, the front desk people from call in to check out, Natasha, and Marina, we’re fantastic. They care about what they do. They put me at ease, and made me feel like I I’ve been there client for years. I cannot tell you how reassuring and pleasant that was. They are the best! So wonderful to see people who are good at what they do and enjoy their jobs! Rare these days. Thank you so much!
All I can say, is if you have an emergency, head to Blue Pearl. They are efficient, caring, and there for you. You could not ask for more.

2 years agoFinally I changed to Kaiser Permanente after one year of frustration dealing with Shutter Health Daly City (Palo Alto Medical Foundation) for misplaced medical records transfer form, missing lab samples, careless review of immunization records that resulted in a number of duplicate shots to name a few. Most surprising fact was that almost 90% of the staffs/nurse aids were ill-trained and incompetent dealing with regular and basic office/medical matters of patients. Many specialty clinics were located far apart, requiring us to drive to Burlingame, Palo Alto, San Carlos and Redwood City. Our family can get most of services at KP Daly City clinics and the mail order prescription was a breeze. The difference between two medical organizations are so vast to describe. For us it’s like breathing fresh air after a long hibernation. The family doctor, Dr. V, (Vishnevskaya) was attentive and genuinely concerned about my well-being. She looked through the list of prescriptions and immediately corrected some of them for safer and more effective ones. We feel strongly that if you live in the Bay Area, KP Daly City is where to go. Handling with the pandemic was exemplary.
3 years agoDon’t park there! … or show up 20 mins early. Also the parking is dark and there are toddlers and little babies being taken to appointments. Take ride share if possible. If pharmacy go to south sf instead parking is manageable.10 months agoThe place was a little confusing to navigate for my first time but it makes sense once you pay attention to all the signage. The facility is really nice. One of the nicer Kaisers I’ve visited. Also the staff was really helpful and friendly.
I was in and out of the pharmacy in no time at all.
4 months agoVery helpful to the patient, safe place and environment, Family oriented !a year agoMy doctor ordered two tests. I went in for my first test and given a recipient for the second one so I could bring it back whenever. I was charged 40$ copay. I drove back today to drop the second one and I was charged again 40$. I told the front desk that I had already paid the last time and he told me that the price was per “encounter”. So today I paid 40$ for a one minute interaction which 50% of it was me trying to figure out why I was being charged twice. Service was polite but still…

Planning to Visit a Family Doctor? Here’s What You Should Consider!

When visiting a family doctor in the United States, there are several things to consider to ensure a successful and efficient appointment. These considerations include:
- Medical History: Before your appointment, prepare a detailed medical history that includes any previous illnesses, surgeries, medications, allergies, and family medical history. This will help your doctor understand your overall health and provide appropriate recommendations.
- Current Symptoms: Write down any current symptoms or concerns you have, including when they started, their severity, and any factors that may aggravate or alleviate them. This information will assist your doctor in making an accurate diagnosis.
- Insurance Coverage: Check if your family doctor is covered by your health insurance plan. This will ensure that you receive the maximum coverage and avoid any unexpected expenses.
- Appointment Duration: Inquire about the duration of your appointment to schedule it accordingly. Some doctors have shorter appointment slots, so it’s important to plan ahead to ensure you have enough time to discuss your concerns.
- Referrals: If your insurance requires a referral from your primary care physician for specialist visits, discuss this with your family doctor during your appointment. They can provide the necessary documentation or refer you to the appropriate specialist.
- Medication Refills: If you need prescription refills, inform your family doctor in advance. They may request that you provide the pharmacy details or may advise a visit to assess your condition before refilling the medication.
By considering these factors and being well-prepared, you can make the most of your visit to a family doctor in the United States and ensure that your healthcare needs are met effectively.
