Monday night my dog collapsed…I called them Monday night explaining the symptoms of my sweet dog Stoic. Told me to call when on the way and they’ll immediately get us in. They rushed him back and sadly gave me a grave diagnosis and we had to send our sweet boy off the rainbow bridge. But from the front desk. To the vet techs. And Dr basil they were so amazing and helped us during one of the worst days of my life. So compassionate and caring. Even had a social worker reach out to me. And the cremation service they use are so amazing as well. Sad with outcome of my night but very pleased with this hospital. Thank you all!

After calling numerous vets, this office was willing to help us with our bearded dragon. Unfortunately, we had to put her to sleep and after picking her up I seen that they went above and beyond my expectations. They were very compassionate and caring. This has been a traumatic experience for our family, they took great care of our baby and us.

Let me start by saying that the people at this vet clinic were so sweet and great with customer service! But the issue with all of this is that none of them I feel like knew what they were doing and know how to do their job. I took my 8 week old puppy to the clinic because she had swallowed mulch. At the time we didn’t know what was making her throw up and not eat anything but all we knew was that we needed help. Our local vet at Oak Island Nc said it was a foreign object stuck inside of her but to make sure by going to the Wilmington vet if she didn’t get better. So we did exactly that. The vet really didn’t act in urgency at all. They made us wait for long periods of times. My local vet ended up sending the. X-rays of what the foreign object looked like in the puppy but they didn’t really pay any mind to it even though they saw the foreign object. They gave my puppy fluids and then recommended getting my dog another scan. But the person was on vacation so we had to wait two days which was very inconvenient for not only me but for others. They then told us they would call us whenever she got back but they never did and we had to call them. They didn’t recommend anything to us other than rice and chicken and fluids and medicine. Again sweet people but people who don’t know what they are doing to save an animals life. And when I look through a lot of the reviews I see more cases of dogs swallowing and getting sick or hit by a car and y’all reacting in the exact same way. No urgency, just fluids and medicine. I think that every vet messes up sometimes and animals do die but at least recommend us to another clinic if you can’t find anything or help. They didn’t do that though. They seemed to just give us a ton of stuff that wasn’t needed for money. I ended up wasting a lot of money and sleep over people who couldn’t save my dog. I ended up going to NC state animal hospital which saved her. I recommend them to everyone. Save your money and wait till the morning to get your dog to a vet that knows how to help! Again sweet people just don’t know what they are doing :).

My German Shepherd was bit by a copperhead twice. We immediately headed to the hospital and they administered everything she needed including stocked antivenin. In only one day her swelling lessened, she had her energy back and was eating well. Thank you for saving her! Incredible caring staff, knowledgeable doctors, and communication was great.

My 6 month old golden retriever decided to eat a sock and was throwing up, wouldn’t eat or drink, and was lethargic so I brought her in. We didn’t have to wait long at all before they took her back for x-rays, an ultrasound, and other testing. She ended up needing surgery to remove the sock and I was a complete mess. I cried in the lobby and basically had a mental breakdown. The staff here was beyond phenomenal. They were so patient and kind to me and made this traumatic situation so much easier to handle. They took wonderful care of my baby and got her all fixed up. I hope we never have to go back but the experience was incredible given the circumstances…. all because of the staff. I will forever recommend this establishment to anyone having an emergency with their pet.

We was vacationing in the area when my 2.5 year old was running a fever. Everyone was nice from reception, to nursing and the PA that we seen. They even called to check on him when we returned home from vacation. Excellent service! Highly recommend

Normally hate going to clinics with a passion but this one turned it around for my girlfriend and I. We were helped so nicely by Heather/Rebecca at the front desk. Not sure which one it was but the blonde with the glasses went above and beyond for us in guiding us through the insurance process and pretty much doing it all herself! Very fast and honest clinic and I wish I lived closer to make it my main place but I live 2 hours away:( there’s a good Asian restaurant next door if you are on a wait list. Thanks for turning a frantic day in to an easy one!

Ok. So I walked into this med with a dog attack bites on me. And first thing the lady said was put a mask on. No greeting no nothing. She didn’t even have hers on properly. Also she was very grumpy with me and then told me at 2:30 that the next available appointment was at 6. Not at all acceptable. I left. Will not recommend this place. Will not be going back.

Will not be going back. Went on a weekday and they were randomly closed with a sign on the door which is annoying but it happens, next day I went and stood in a 3 person line for about 40mins only to be told the person who does employment drug screenings was not in and to come back Friday at 8am. Came back at 8am only to sit in the waiting room with 1 other person for about an hour and a half because the employee left while I was sitting there to pick up breakfast…not very respectful of patients time.

I have been here twice. Once you make the appointment in advance, everything is done quickly and you are informed in advance with the necessary documents and procedures. The doctor and staff are very friendly, and instructions are clear.

Up until this morning I would have given them a five-star review. I went in Tuesday night for urine tract discomfort and after taking a urine sample, was told I had a UTI. I was sent home with a high dosis of antibiotics. On Saturday, I get a call saying that my culture came back and I do not have an infection. I took 4 days worth of antibiotics that I did not need and caused a havoc to my healthy gut bacteria, not to mention that taking antibiotics without an infection is dangerous. My understanding was that they had done the culture when I was in urgent Care Tuesday night and they had confirmed I had a UTI. Nobody mentioned to me that the culture was being sent out and they didn’t have the results yet, until Saturday afternoon. This is unacceptable.

We love the staff at this Medac. The wait time was very short. The nurse who reviewed my history was funny and kind. Dr. Ky came in promptly, diagnosed me expertly and gave me medication that has already starting to work (went yesterday). Thank you all for your kindness and professionalism.

Everyone was quite nice. I especially like the doctor he took the time to explain my results and why I may have a negative test. He is definitely the kind of doctor that I would pick as a GP for myself. I was impressed

This location was recommended by a nurse at my health care provider’s office as there was no one available there to help at the time.

My information was taken in a timely, professional manner. I was informed of all procedures beforehand. The procedures were carried out quickly and professionally. I plan to continue to use this location in the future as needed.

Planning to Visit a Family Doctor? Here’s What You Should Consider!

24 Hour Clinic in Wilmington NC
24 Hour Clinic in Wilmington NC

When visiting a family doctor in the United States, there are several things to consider in order to make the most of your visit and ensure the best care possible. Here are some important factors to keep in mind:

  • Health insurance coverage: Before scheduling an appointment with a family doctor, it is important to confirm whether they accept your health insurance plan. This will help avoid any unexpected costs or out-of-pocket expenses.
  • Medical history: Be prepared to provide your medical history, including any past illnesses, surgeries, allergies, and medications you are currently taking. This information will help the doctor better understand your health and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Specific concerns: Make a list of any specific concerns or symptoms you would like to discuss during your visit. This will help you remember important details and ensure all of your questions are addressed.
  • Appointment duration: Familiarize yourself with the length of a typical appointment with a family doctor. Some appointments may be shorter than others, so it is important to prioritize your concerns and make the most of the time you have.
  • Communication style: Consider your preferred communication style when choosing a family doctor. Some individuals may prefer a doctor who takes the time to thoroughly explain diagnoses and treatment options, while others may prefer a more direct and concise approach.
  • Follow-up care: Inquire about the availability of follow-up care after your appointment. This can include scheduling additional tests, referrals to specialists, or setting up a future appointment to discuss your progress.
  • Prescriptions and medications: Discuss any prescriptions or medications you are currently taking with your family doctor. They can provide guidance and ensure there are no potential interactions or concerns.
  • Patient reviews and recommendations: Look for patient reviews and recommendations when choosing a family doctor. This can provide insight into their expertise, bedside manner, and overall patient satisfaction.
  • Emergency care: Determine the options for emergency care if needed. Familiarize yourself with the nearest emergency room or urgent care facility, and know what steps to take in case of a medical emergency.
  • Payment and billing policies: Clarify the payment and billing policies of the family doctor’s office. Understand what forms of payment are accepted, any potential co-pays or deductibles, and how to handle any billing or insurance inquiries.

By considering these factors when visiting a family doctor in the United States, you can help ensure a smooth and efficient appointment that addresses all of your healthcare needs.
