Most of there employees are Master Specialists, some come in and get you a cold beverage of your choice and enjoy your experience with us❤️a week agoIt had a great vibe when I walked in, guy at the counter was super cool. However, I had to wait an extra 35 minutes on top of my appointment time. I then received the worst haircut of my life, and honestly not even close to what I asked for. Definitely going to stay away in the future. I think this place has some great barbers, but definitely has some very subpar barbers. Stay away from Mack.4 weeks agoThough they typically don’t take walk-ins, they made an exception for me which i greatly appreciated. First time experience wasn’t worth the money though. I’m sure the barbers are very talented but for the premium+ price I expected a premium+ haircut. My crown was cut very short causing a “cowlick.” The rest of the cut was ok. Never had this issue at another and significantly cheaper barber. I understand people make mistakes but if a business is going to charge $32 dollars for a haircut, the customer should get a $32 haircut. I expected much better.4 months agoI have been in the area since February and have tried other barber shops, this particular shop has my interest and high recommendations! My only day off, and I’m searching for an open appointment, and luckily landed an appointment at Southern with Niki. It was 220 and the appointment was at 230….unknowingly it was a bit of a ride from where I was and was definitely going to be late. I arrive and apologized and tried to knock off some services and didn’t want to overlap her schedule. She said “nope come on back we’ll take care of ya…” Niki was really nice and such talent at her craft, I felt “at home”. Bottom line the service was outstanding, the haircut and beard work were exceptional. Definitely the better shop of the last two I visited. I will return again for sure. Everyone seemed lively and 100% into their client. Highly recommended for sure. Thanks Niki for a superb experience!3 months agoSouthern Gentleman’s Barbering is the absolute best barber shop in the State. After years of experience reviewing barber shops for a Nationally published periodical, I would venture to say that Southern Gentleman’s may be the best overall barbering experience in the Southeast. The barbers are talented, innovative, and experienced.From the second I walk through the door, Courtney makes me feel like I’m the only one in the shop. Occasionally, I’ll stop by for a cut even when I don’t need one. This place is that great. Thank you Southern Gentleman’s.

3 months agoI have some pretty curly hair and my entire life it’s been hard to find a barber/stylist that will consistently cut my hair how I want it. I found this place and saw it had very good reviews and I like the location so I figured I’d give it a try. I scheduled an appointment with Phillip and he has been my go to barber since! Talk about consistency, not only do I always leave satisfied, I think he constantly improves and I show him a picture of an idea I want and he makes it happen but better! The atmosphere is awesome as well. I’m sure every single barber here is fantastic but Philip is the man. Check this place out! You won’t be disappointed!2 months agoExcellent experience! I’m very particular in what barbershops I’ve gone to but this place is top tier! Phillip did an amazing job on my cut. Super professional, yet personable. The place is clean and stylishly appointed with leather furniture. The staff was very friendly and i was offered a drink when I arrived. Talk about feeling upper crust! Ryan did a good job and we had good conversation throughout. If I lived in West Columbia, GQ would be my spot. I’m very happy with my cut.2 months agoLove these guys. Have been numerous times when I’m near Columbia. Very friendly, great quality work, knowledgeable about the cut as well as tips on how to style. This time my 16yo son was looking for a new hair style but didn’t know what he wanted. Took him to see the one guy I knew could help out, Dominic. He and my son consulted together for 10 minutes, Dominic asking questions to help narrow down the options and showing pictures of styles he thought my son would like. They agreed on a style and Dominic got to work. He took his time, was very detail focused, then taught my son how to style it each morning. My son loved the cut and the experience. A+++2 months agoI’d been growing my hair out for 3 years and had them braid it and cut it off for me so I could donate it Locks of Love. That was followed by a new hairstyle, thanks to Kasie, that I absolutely love,

The value for the price can’t be beat.7 months agoI went in for a haircut on 1/10/23 and I requested Jackie and this was my 3rd time getting my haircut by her and the first time she had asked me if I went to church and I told her no and she was encouraging me to go to church which I thought was weird but nothing else happened until today when I went and she was asking questions about my girlfriend and we are both women and then she stood in front of me and stops cutting my hair and tells me I know its not right and I didn’t know what she was talking about but then she said I should be with a man and its not right for two women to be together and its not what the lord wants and she kept saying stuff like that and I started crying and I tried to leave but she was like let me finish so I just sat there while she kept saying stuff and asking me if I was gonna come back and saying she would always be there for me to get a haircut but I said I would not be coming back to her and I checked out and left but then the other lady working in there Emily came out and spoke to me and made me feel a lot better and she was very nice and told me not to listen to Jackie and that its okay to be who I am. But that is the worst experience I’ve ever had anywhere and I would not recommend Jackie she should be fired.a year agoI took two of my sons, ages 11 and 12 to get a haircut. Zee did a decent job on both boys. Surprisingly the timer was accurate considering past experiences. My frustration is the prices, especially for children cuts. This location only recognizes 10 and under for children cuts, and charged $26 for each of my kids. That is without a shampoo or hot towel too. The MVP for adults with all that would have only been a few dollars more. Definitely not a place I would want to take my children back for a cut. Not for that price.4 months agoEmily is the best. She knows how I like my hair cut and she’s the only one I will let cut my hair.
