a month agoI love how they cut my son’s hair. Unfortunately, they are very rude in the way they conduct business. When my credit card didn’t go through the manager, Heather, demanded I run my card through again. Of course it was denied since my bank red flags duplicate purchases. She acted like I was trying to cheat the company out of payment. I filed a dispute with my bank after paying her with cash. I also had to request a receipt from her. The bank informed me that the problem was with the sport cuts system. She should be able to recognize this problem and handle it appropriately. If I hadn’t requested the receipt though, I wouldn’t have been able to file the dispute though. She should have offered a discount for repeat business after the inconvenience. She doesn’t value you as a customer.WARNING ⚠️. If you want to frequent this establishment, pay in cash only!
5 months agoCouldn’t stay silent on the result of a simple haircut i got this week. Been coming to this location for over a year. I’m shocked anyone with this profession could send someone out the door with what I got.4 months agoI have to say this place looks super cool inside and the whole experience was start to finish a 5 star experience. My 7 year old son needed a cut badly. He has his own ideas of style now so I had doubts that the cut was going to please me and my son. Lynette took care of us one hour before closing and she did not rush, had a great friendly attitude and the hiar cut was perfect! We officially found my son’s first stylist because we will be looking for her next cut he needs!!! This place is not just for big boys.. the little guys fit right in here!!!4 months agoThey charge ridiculously high price of $26 for a haircut. Not sure this atrocious price is for this location or all Sports Clips, but too much for such an regular hair cutting service. The lady took less than 10 min to cut my hair, and charged $26!! Then again their system asks fot tip and donation, and it became $30!!!6 months agoThis is more reflective of the company overall. The reservation process sucks and makes no sense. The app told me a half hour wait when I reserved. I reserved and blew 30 minutes to get to the time. I get to the store, check in. Now I have another 30 min wait. Do they want people to sleep in the shop?The barber was awesome. But I mean it took an hour to get in the chair.
Edit: So if the wait is approximate then when do I get an update that it changed? I’m waiting 30 mins for what the app says then I get there and it changes by another half hour??? Why would I walk in just to get the same half hour? The app is supposed to be accurate well you would think. But yeah just try something stupid again next time.

4 months agoThe marvelous barber manager, was extremely helpful helping my 12yr old son choose his haircut. He also was very friendly and welcoming. Even though all work is done exclusively by students, he was there to guide them through getting the haircut down to a T. I will highly recommend anyone who’s looking for a nice haircut to visit this place in Fountain Square.a month agoOne of the best places I’ve gone to get a haircut! Mr. Rick is an awesome listener and even when you don’t have a direct idea or picture of what you want he gets your needs met. He’s an excellent teacher given that his students have never messed up with my hair. If you’re patient with Mr. Rick and the students they are patient with you. I’ve been going to Mr. Rick for the past 2 years. My brother got his beard shaped up and said it was the best anyone has done. I find his students all over lake county barbershops when I go with my friend. I even met an alumni from almost 10 years ago. If you’re looking to enroll your kid in this school Mr Ricky is well worth the money because he is honorable disciplined and has a hands on approach to teaching. He’s not just teaching them how to cut hair but how to respecfully run a business. I’ve seen kids grow in confidence along with skill in his shop. If you’re looking for a haircut make sure your schedule is blocked out as the students are learning and need time. He also only does walk ins although if you’re on a time crunch you can call ahead and he will get you out when you need. Great price for the quality of work.a month agoMr. Rick is very knowledgeable and professional. I highly respect how he runs his business teaching students on how to correctly cut hair. He takes the time to guide each barber and creates a positive atmosphere. The shop is always exceptionally clean and he takes the time to make sure he communicates exactly how to cut your hair each time you come in. I’ve been coming here for years and have always gotten a great haircut. I highly recommend this barber shop!5 months agoI love this barber shop. The prices are decent and it’s located in a convenient area, with plenty of parking. Rick, the owner is also a cool guy and he really appreciates his customers. My only issue is when he got rid of the option to book appointments. It was so much more convenient when clients were able to book appointments on line. Now Rick accepts walk-ins only, and to be honest, I don’t like that at all.It’s a huge inconvenience and it takes an extremely long time to get serviced, depending on the number of barbers working on whatever particular day, and of course, how many clients are waiting.
I don’t like sitting in the barber for hours just for my child to get a haircut or a simple lining. I appreciate the barbers taking their time and doing superior work, however, I preferred having the option to be able to book online. My advice is to get to the shop first thing in the morning when it opens.
5 months agoMarvelous Barber school has a very professional environment. I have been getting my haircut for at least a year now, I have to say the barbers here are very talented and skilled. The salon is always clean and sanitize. The owner is always training and showing different techniques in understanding the different methods in perfecting the correct hair line and blend in fades. If your in the area you should try them out.
