2 months agoLuckily Detail Barbershop was open on Juneteenth, the usual barbershop I take my son was closed. It took me a minute to find this place lol! The google maps was confused also lol! Pricing is reasonable, much cheaper than my son’s usual barber. It’s better to schedule an appointment because this place is very busy, I was a walk-in with my son, we waited about 30 min before he got his hair cut. I see they offer many options with hair cuts like dry shampooing, beard trimming and facial/scalp message. My son’s haircut was decent, edging not great, the fade was ok but the technician didn’t put any hair product after the cut. This place will do if you’re in a pinch to get a quick cut, otherwise I’m sticking with my son’s usual barber.3 weeks agoIt was an amazing experience going to this barbershop for the first time! Nguyen (same first name :O) did a fantastic job!! The fade is the way I wanted it and although I did have some trouble choosing the length of my hair for the top of head (I preferred it to be short). Again, just the way I wanted it!I wouldn’t hesitate to go to this barbershop again. Looks like I will become a regular for this barbershop in the near future!
3 months agoThe best there is. You want celebrity quality haircut at affordable rate? This is the place for you. I been coming here for the last two years and gotta say, never looked or feel better.They are really cool and always try make sure I leave happy and with a smile. All the barbers are easy and fun to talk with, like you are hanging with friends. They take their time to make sure I am good with the cuts and will fix it if I am not satisfied.
The only complaint is I wish they had more barbers because unless you make an appointment, walk-ins are tough ?
4 weeks agoFirst-time customer for the Men’s Haircut a couple months ago. Quynh did great work turning my longer hair into a short, fresh cut. It’s still looking good even as it grows out!Super satisfied, and I’m looking forward to being a customer again soon.
2 months agoIve been coming here for a few months and it’s a hit or miss. Some barbers are great! Some need more training. The young lady (second chair on the left) needs to pay more attention to what the customers want. I asked for a mid/low fade and i got a high fade with a very choppy transition. She thought high fade would look better without asking or consulting with me before cutting it. But most of the time, they nail it. There is high attention to each haircut and the massage is awesome.

I have 3B-3C hair, and I let it get long enough the weight started making it straighter, she was able to get me in last minute, with great prices, and also dyed my hair from pink to a more natural color (I wanted burgundy with my natural color), I love it! I’m very picky with anyone that touches my hair; picky enough that I didn’t let anyone touch my hair for 11yrs at one point, but I’ll be going to Tily from now on, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!And for anyone that doesn’t know: curly hair requires moisture ALL the time, so she did a moisture treatment for my hair. I only had part of my hair dyed pink, but all of it was extremely dried out because that’s just how it goes. That’s why there are certain products for curly hair. Curly hair cannot be treated like normal hair almost at all, but she did a lot to help out my hair, and it felt good having hair that was straightened and not frizzy during some hot days!
3 months agoTotal waste of money, she’s very good at haircuts but didn’t look like she can manage any kind of hair. I went to this salon for Japanese straightening and I mentioned many times that my hair is very dry and wanted her to check before she begun the process. She charged me more than $500 for a short hair straightening saying that my hair needed a lot of attention and I ended up with burnt hair. When I had my doubts during the process and towards the end is when she mentioned that it can only smoothen to 30% but it’s even more damaged now. She kept saying I have to spend a lot of time for me, but during the process of my treatment she did haircuts for two other people as well. I’ve been doing this treatment for a decade once every 6-8 months but my hair was never damaged to this level.a month agoI’ve been coming to Tily’s for over a year now and I LOVE her, I won’t go to any other salon! She cuts, colors my grey and does the Japanese hair straightening on my hair! Every cut & process is beautiful. Last year I was in a wedding, she did my hair and I received so many compliments! Her salon is clean, roomy and in a very safe neighborhood.3 months agoI got Japanese Hair Straightening here and Tily did an amazing job. My hair is so straight, silky, and shiny now. Originally I had 2b-2c type hair and now it’s completely straight with no frizz. I’m so happy with my results. Will not ever go there again . they dont listen to what you want and or dont understand…… done !!6 months agoHuong Le did an amazing job cutting my hair today! I’ve been coming to great clips for 10yrs and this is one of the best haircuts I’ve received here. She even made recommendations to what I usually get to make it look even better! This location is lucky to have Huong work here, I will definitely be coming back to get my hair cut by her2 years agoI’m not one to write reviews but I feel like this needs to be done. My daughter had really long and pretty hair but has been wanting to cut it short. She’s had it short in the past so why not again?!Browsed for a place nearby that could take her in since we are leaving town this weekend. Chose this place because she only wanted a very simple chop. Nothing crazy – just a basic bob with no layers.
I don’t even know the name of the lady who helped us on 8/10 around 4pm. But she sat my daughter down, asked what I wanted for her hair and I even showed her a past photo of her hair from two years ago.
She starts chopping the length off and the length was fine. Then more scissor work was being done in chunks. Like really big chunks. I’ve never seen anyone cut hair the way she did. She even tried to thin her hair with a razor. Like why?! I had to put a stop to all of that. Long story short, the photos tell all. She cut so many layers, literally to the middle of my kid’s head. And everything was so choppy and uneven. I was in disbelief but very livid. I asked her what she did to my kids hair? And that I said no layers. She then proceeded to argue and said, “what? It’s cute!”
If you look at the photos…. There’s one literally right after we exchanged dialogue. And then there’s an after photo of when we left. My daughter looked like she had a mullet in the process. I was so upset, I cried!
My kid didn’t even feel good about herself. She looked pretty sad. I told her we would get it fixed. And we did today (8/11) by a wonderful person from a different salon. My kid definitely loves her fixed cut. No more mullet!
Definitely would never come back here nor would I recommend this place even for the most basic service. Only gave this a one star because I don’t have a choice. I am traumatized.
6 months agoMy stylist did a good job with my scalp massage and cut but forgot my hair is attached to my head. It’s fine and tangles easily. So she doesn’t some extra time untangling.a month agoVery nice stylist, polite and courteous will go back to her again
