  The hours of operation show 8pm closing time. It also indicates walk ins welcome. I came at 7:20 and was told by Meghan (spelling) that they are closing up and can’t take anymore people. Not sure of that’s the actual policy or the unwritten rule but it is off putting that I was willing to give them my business, especially being local, and they were okay to turn down a potential long term client who definitely supports local business. I am now down the street at another barber who was more than welcoming of having new business and with that business, an even more welcoming and deserving tip. If you’re going to reject people then change your hours or take off the walk in sign or put a disclaimer that walk ins are only until a certain time. If you’re okay with turning down business then that is your perogative. It is just unfortunate that you do. Hopefully the next person experiences better.

  My son went in with a tidy up around the sides and cut on top with scissors. The stylist completely butchered the back of his hair leaving it choppy and all uneven. I showed this photo to other people and they couldn’t believe how his hair looked! We took him to another place and she fixed him all up! We won’t be returning to hair mechanixs. (Before and after photo) My husband didn’t catch the stylist name.

  This place has become a joke. Sign in, see the listing saying stylists gave appointments pending, 3 with 0. Sit and wait.. no greeting when you walk in, no one to give you a clue how long you could be waiting for. I’ve been here for an hour. Multiple people sign in after me and they go before me. I know what you’re thinking, they had an appointment l. Well, they’re with the stylist that had 0 appointmen in the system. No leadership, no customer service and the place is an ego project for the owner. I’ve been here when he is, doesn’t pay attention to customer experience at all.

  This was the worst experience I had at this salon .. The only reason I came to the salon is that the one I usually go to closed down and the employees are working here. This time I wanted a specific person that did a good cut last time on my son. Melita is her name.. before I got here I called and checked if she was here and she was.. the person on the phone and told me they would be here until 5 o’clock but when I got here she said that she wasn’t taking any more people and I drove 15 miles just to come down here.. her shift didn’t even end. She apologized, but this is bad Customer service. I should’ve been informed on the phone. So then we waited for a little bit and I just decided to come back tomorrow when she could cut hair. I stepped out and came back in because we decided to just get a haircut since we were already here and we waited a long time but when we asked at the register.. the lady took us off the list, and now we had to wait even more so I just left because this is just now there’s no courtesy the people act like they don’t want to cut your hair. They’re rude and unprofessional. I will not be coming back here no more. I asked for certain people because the last time they cut my eight year old hair, and it was uneven and choppy. The lady did not know how to cut hair and was distracted the whole time. If you have children, please don’t bring them here. They are very rude. Also I want to point out that I was the only Muslim there and she looked at me when I walked in and decided to take No more people. Very inconsiderate of her.

  I had an incredibly good experience. Everyone was friendly and professional and Vince was phenomenal! Not only did he cut my hair perfectly, but he was very calming, gentle, and pleasant. I was very nervous about making a dramatic change to my hair, cutting off almost a foot and going shorter than I have since childhood. He put me right at ease and made good conversation. I am so happy with my haircut and I definitely intend to return.

I Brought My 18 yr old Son Here Today, My Son Has Very Thick Hair & My Sons Stylist Fadi Is An Exquisitely Skilled Man, He Didn’t Cut My Sons Hair…He Actually Meticulously & Skillfully Sculpted His Hair Using Several Hair Tools & Techniques. I Am Very Impressed. This Is The First Time My Son Has Ever Been Completely Happy With A Hair Session. I Watched All Of The Male Stylists & They Were All Skilled In The Same Way With Their Clients. They Do Not Play Around With The Hair In This Salon, Nope. They Absolutely Know Exactly How To Handle Their Business & Techniques. This Is A More Than Top Notch Barber/Salon.   This was our first visit ever to Kingdom Salon and I have to say that I am very highly impressed with everyone there! I brought my little guy in for a haircut and the wonderful lady that took care of him was very patient with him and took her time on the little details! He is almost 6 years old and does not like getting his haircut around his ears at all… ( he hates the loud buzzing right in his ears ) but his haircut turned out AMAZING!! We went to a different barber shop for his last haircut that came highly recommended but we were not impressed… my son LOVES his fresh cut so much that he looks in a mirror any chance he gets! Lol ? there were some other clients that had come in while I was waiting for them to finish with my son and every client left looking amazing! They were all very friendly and it’s very clear they take pride in their work. We will definitely be coming here from now on for all of my son’s haircuts

  Kingdom Salon one of the best barbershop in Sterling Heights. I highly recommend this place to everyone. The place it’s amazing and clean the customer service. It’s more than amazing they except walk-ins. Fadi and Joe are the best.
