3 weeks agoI have been going here for a few years now. The barbers are great, and I have never had a bad experience. The background music would not be my first choice, but I enjoy talking and listening to the chatter. The people are great.a month agoAmazing and talented barbers. Always do a great cut on my 13 year old kid. The atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired though,the language and the music is not tolerable to everyone.a week agoGreat place. Very friendly. a week agoWhen you walk into The Refinery, you are always greeted with smiles and offers for a drink. It’s a locally owned, upscale, relaxed environment that we recommend to our Clients. They have upgrades to add on to your service. For example, scalp massages, facials, conditioning treatment, 24-karat gold collagen eye masks, and more! I don’t think people can understand how much cleaning is involved with a business such as this one. The behind the scenes is incredibly involved! And for everything they provide: the quality of services, the cleanliness, and experience that each Client receives, you can not beat The Refinery!!!! It’s the BEST place for our Guy Clients to go to!!!! We LOVE them!2 weeks agoAlissa is great, I really enjoy working with her. She has continually taken great care of me when I come in and we have established a great rapport! I’m comfortable going in knowing she will do exactly what I need without really having to ask! She also helps to thoroughly educate me on products that I might like, such as the leave in conditioner that provides moisture to my hair! I always look forward to my time at The Refinery with Alissa! a month agoI live roughly 30 miles from Proper Salon for Men and will drive all the way down here to get a fresh cut from Samantha! Never thought I could get such a fresh fade at a barber shop. Also, the best beard trim and shaping I have ever had, I have a pretty gnarly beard and it was a breeze for Samantha. I Will continue to get my cuts at Proper Salon for Men!!!! Samantha and staff are super friendly and make you feel like you have been a customer for years. Whiskey and Bourbon selection on point! They definitely know how to give the Proper treatment!!! 5 stars isn’t enough to give these girls!!!!!!!2 months agoSam did an amazing job! Cut my hair exactly the way I like it! She was kind, sociable, she also asked questions. The atmosphere was clean, the selection of choices to drink is great while you relax. I highly recommend getting your haircut here, I’m sure everyone that works here is equally as talented as her so you won’t go wrong. You get what you pay for and this experience was well worth it. I’ll definitely be back.2 months agoFirst of all, let me say I’m new to New Braunfels and I made an appointment for the morning. I went to the wrong location and ended up being 10 minutes late. Needless to say Mrs. Chesney still got me in and had time to do everything I had asked.She is outstanding and goes above and beyond. Thank you so much!

a year agoI took my grandson there for a hair styling. Ashley carefully sculpted his hair and gave him a very polished look. He’s had a lot of haircuts but his hair has never looked this good before. He’s 17 so you know how important this is. The salon is located in a most interesting building & the salon staff are so nice and laidback. We will be back!
