  This place is Fantastic and really enjoy the staff and conversations! A place just for men and you come looking and feeling Great!! I moved to Charleston from Greenville and was looking for a place that specializes in Men’s hair, when googled this Franks Gentlemen’s salon came up and after looking into it, it was exactly what I was looking for. As I walked in for the first time I was greeted and felt very comfortable with the awesome atmosphere. That was present. Riley was my hairdresser and she was awesome, talked about style and respected what I was looking for in a haircut, she even took time to really explain about what she was doing and the products being used. I will not be going anywhere else and look forward to growing with Franks for a long time. I can’t stop saying how impressive this place is, fantastic service.

  The place was very nice and very old school vibe feel. The service associates were very kind and respectful and even offered me a drink while I wait. The trim went great and they used great hair products.

  Arrived an hour early and jotted my name down. Noticed I was the first person to request that barber that morning. Cool! Hopefully I should be first. Nope! Two other customers that arrived well after me got serviced first. I got up and left. I wasn’t even acknowledged or greeted at all. Lost me as a customer. Also, if you’re planning on getting a “fade” cut, don’t bother. They don’t know how to do it.

  This is THE local barbershop in Mount Pleasant. Incredibly friendly owner and manager who greets each and every customer with a smile. I’ve found that most barbers there are very friendly and welcoming too. I’ve generally walked away with great haircuts, although some barbers are a bit more conscientious than others. Once I found my barber, I’ve been satisfied each time.

  Three considerations:

  1. The website is not always 100% up to date, especially as it concerns the days and hours that barbers work. If you’re planning to go as a walk-in, consider calling to confirm that your barber is in for the day.

  2. This is a cash-only establishment. Definitely adds to the charm but you need to be sure to bring cash or a debit card for the ATM.

  3. They accept walk-ins, which is great, but that can mean quite the wait on busy days.

  My two boys love going to Jeff’s and his haircuts are the best. I book appointments for my boys online ahead of time to avoid a long wait. Jeff has always listened to what I’ve asked for & done an amazing job with each boy. My kids love that they have free lollipops, those 25 cent candy/toy machines, and ice cream/popsicles for after their haircut!

  Made the switch to Jeff’s from another local shop a few months back. Dave has been my go to barber for years and has always been exceptional. The shop is clean, fairly priced, and the staff is always super friendly. Highly recommend! And if there is a wait you can always stop by Crafty Draught next door for a cold beer. Win win.

  Do not use Michelle. I asked for a basic pompadour haircut and unfortunately, something that simple got messed up, went back in for a redo, and she couldn’t even understand how to correct her mistake. On top of that, her customer service to make amends was completely absent. I will be looking for a new barber shop at this time. I’m tired of asking hairdressers to perform a simple and traditional barbering skill only to find they are unable to do so. Please train your staff on traditional and simple haircuts.

  Wait was 100 minutes. Glad to have used the online check-in feature. Stylist was very nice but had to bring my son back to have it touched up once his hair dried. Not the best haircut but was affordable.

  Andrea picked up the phone like she was being forced to work here and it was an inconvenience some one called with a question. Kim the manager told Andrea she had no idea about a corporate program being offered for chemo patients before talking to me and going against what the national Great Clips page says is offered. I guess if you’re satisfied with subpar service and whatever other corner-cutting goes on here then the name “Great Clips” isn’t sarcastic.
