  Just moved from Austin to El Paso and so happy to have found Gentleman’s Republic! Completely satisfied with my cut & color. The prices are fantastic compared to what we’re used to back in Austin. As a bonus it’s woman owned and operated and we’re able to have a few cocktails while we wait.

  If you want a decent barber shop services, you have to come to this place.

  First of all, the interior design is gentleman style type of decent, the display of bow tie and hair dressing products shows how elegant this place is.

  Jimmy, the hair stylist, gave me a very good heads up on what he wanted to do with my hair; he’s meanwhile a very talkative gentleman to work with.

  BTW, they offer burbon and whiskey for you to enjoy the moment before your hair stylist is ready to serve you, what a nice gesture!!!

  Had been looking for a place such as this. My wife found it for me. A great place. Laura is awesome and so welcoming. She took the time to give me a tour of the place. I feel like a regular already. Brittney is amazing and very proficient at her craft. You can expect me back there soon. Highly recommended.

  Sonny did an awesome job with my mullet, went in without a clue of what I wanted it to look like. Sat in the chair, she showed me a couple of styles and then BAM it turned out 1000x better than I ever expected. Also, if you’re getting a haircut this is the place to be. Complimentary drinks and just such a relaxing space for us men that go through it on a day to day basis. Thank you so much GR you have my business forever!

  Was highly satisfied with this barber’s shop, staff was professional and courteous. Shop was clean and comfortable. Being that I’m older I’m not into the younger scene with a lot of the music that is played at most of the barber shops around town. This one I can deal with since it had more of a mellow tone. The Barber Chris that cut my hair and trimmed my goat tee was on point. I was highly satisfied with the work and am sure will be back in the future. If you’re looking for a good barber shop with a more relaxed environment (not so loud & obnoxious) I highly recommend this place. I also would highly recommend Chris for a cut. Give them a go.

  The staff was friendly. The one that cut my hair was an older woman. I asked for a 0 on the side medium high and just a light cleanup on top. I left with a high and tight. There were guard marks all over my head, and it was crooked haircut. I ended up going back for a touch up by the other woman she was working with. In my opinion I would pass on going to this place.

  Love this place! It’s affordable and they’re good. We usually go with Niomie but she hasn’t been here the last couple of times we’ve come. My 17yr old is kinda picky and last time Kike cut his hair. My son was so happy! Kike converses with him and did a great job. He asks us exactly what he wants and he gets it done!! Here we are again needing a cut for prom this Friday and luckily Kike was here! My son was like yeah we will wait if we need to. Didn’t even have to wait 5 minutes. Great job Kike thank you!!

  I was a bit disappointed with my hair cut and shave. There was one barber and me there. The lady seemed nice enough but she seemed like she was annoyed that I came in for a hair cut. I paid for the deluxe hair cut and a shave. The hair cut seemed rushed (not entirely happy with it), and the shave was just with regular clippers. That might be what their shave was, but it was a bit disappointing as well. Over all, it was an ok experience, but I’ll probably be looking for another barber shop.

  Used to go hair for haircuts and had great service, however they have an older stylist that will absolutely mess your hair up. She is fast, rough and does not know how to cut hair. I came in for buzz around and a couple inches off, she buzzed off some of my hair on top that has taken years to grow and for the trim, combed all the hair to the back and did a straight cut. Now I am left with uneven hair all around and a burning sensation on the back of my neck where a trimmer was shoved into my skin.

  This isn’t the first time either, my roommate saw the same stylist and came home looking like he lost a fight with a lawn mower. The back of his neck was also extremely red and burning.

  If you value the way your hair looks, don’t like pain or like to be treated like a human instead of ragdoll, I’d go with another place or pray you get a different stylist.
