4 weeks agoI selected Albuquerque ER&Hospital at the last second as we were nearing it due to the close proximity to our house and I’m really glad I did. The facility was very clean and orderly but the better part was that all of the staff were extremely courteous, professional, helpful and overall attentive to my care. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of care. They did an amazing job with mine.a month agoWe had to take my daughter to get checked out, we actually had no idea of this place, but I’m glad we stopped. The service was amazing the wait time was less than 5 minutes in the waiting room. The staff was courteous and very friendly. The provider was also amazing, he explained everything he was doing and gave us options for treatment. I will most definitely be visiting again if needed. ☺️2 months agoThe ER was very attentive and efficient. I came in after 6 hrs of traveling in severe pain and they were extremely friendly and caring upon my arrival. They recognized that I was hurting badly and took measures right away to help alleviate some of my discomfort until the doctor could see me- which was relatively quick. She recognized my issues, responded accordingly, checked on my often during my recovery and then released me to go on my way once I was feeling back to myself at 100%. Best care I have had!! Highly recommend this hospital.2 months agoDo not go here!!!!!! I would give 0 stars if I could. I have two full insurance. PPOs. I was taken to the back for my emergency visit. The doctor talked to me, said she would give me medication and run some tests.I waited for about an hour and then the front desk person came back and told me that they deemed my situation as non emergent. (My pain level alone made it emergent by accreditation standards). This is non-emergent status, apparently left me in a situation, where they said, my primary insurance, which they deemed to be Medicare., incorrect, instead of my very good private employer insurance, would not pay for my visit there and so my secondary insurance would not pay for the visit, and I would have to self pay for a second tier emergent visit, 800+200$ self pay in order to be treated. This is illegal!
They did not assist me in transferring to another facility. They did not stabilized my pain. They did nothing for me. I walked outside by myself. Dragging my right leg behind me. And went to Lovelace, who treated me for an apparent rare condition that I did not know I had, which interfered with my ability to walk using my right leg and causes severe pain in the ability to use my lower half of my body. I already suffer from h-eds so I am no baby to pain. This was an extremely painful and difficult experience. This place is running against the law and JACCO requirements.

As a trained medical social worker I would say that this place needs to shut down. They are just trying to steal money from people and refused to treat patients who had insurance (over insurance).
They said- we aren’t going to charge you anything for this, so they don’t keep records? Don’t charge for all the stuff they did to me? The doctor’ exam? That’s because it’s illegal to send people out the door without treatment like that. I left because I didn’t want to be treated by crooks and quacks at that point. Run!
a month agoI never review hospitals but I’ve had the most pleasant and amazing experience with the team here. Receptionist are very helpful and happy. This was the quickest I’ve ever been seen in a hospital. They literally signed me in and handed me paper work to fill out. By the time I sat down to begin filling out the paper work, they already called me back. Spoke with the nurse have my symptoms, she left the room and the doctor showed up to talk to me no less then 5 minutes afterwards. Dr J Janson is very nice informative and over a great guy. He explained to me what my issues were very simply and insured nothing to serious is going on with me. AMAZING TEAM HERE, FAST, EFFICIENT, AND MOST OF ALL THEY CARE!!!!!! Thank you to the team I feel much better now

a week agoMake an appointment online. Will save you lots of time. They take walk ins but you usually have to sit and wait for a long time. The appointment went very well. It was quick and efficient. The staff was very friendly , the practitioner was thorough, and I could tell she really cares. I would definitely recommend this place.a month agoIt was our first time coming to one of these clinics. Hubby and I drive OTR and are originally from Texas so we didn’t know where to go until we called around to various and found this clinic. Called ahead to confirm that they were able to do DOT physicals. Hubby and I both needed ours. Our truck is 40’ so we can’t just go to any place without first making sure we fit in the parking lot. We came in as walk ins and thankfully they took us right into the line up. Don’t be discouraged by the wait list as it told my husband we would be seen at 7:40pm after checking in around 1:30pm that day. No guarantees on how long anyone else will take but we were in and out way before that. All the staff was super friendly and provided great customer service. I’ve already recommending it to any drivers I know. Thank you all for a pleasant experience!2 months agoI came into NextCare because of an eye ailment. I was efficiently checked in and then saw a medical assistant who checked my weight, blood pressure, temperature, and oxygen levels. Next, I saw a nurse practitioner who was extremely thorough in examining my eye. What impressed me most was her straight forwardness. She explained what she would do and any limitations in her procedures. I was encouraged to see my optometrist. I left feeling that she had been thorough, clear, and most importantly, honest. Based on my experience, I would most definitely recommend NextCare for situations that are not super serious. I got in and out with a positive experience in a MUCH SHORTER! time than visiting an ER. I am an old geezer who was happy to learn that they accept Medicare.3 weeks agoNextCare Urgent Care was a blessing closer to my home than going to the local hospital. The receptionists were friendly and helpful. I got my prescription called in and I picked it up on the way home. Grateful for this place.in the last weekBeware of this company’s predatory business practices. I went there for a checkup in June due to an injury in my thumb. The male physician there working on June 8th pushed me to get a brace for it even though it wasn’t broken. When I politely declined he assured me that insurance would cover it and I ended up walking out with a wrist brace. This company that issues these braces – the same kind you can get for $20 on Amazon – later came as a bill to me for $300. They billed my insurance multiple times for the same care and it flagged my BCBS rep. The rep encouraged me to call them to find out what was going on. I talked with the representative at Breg and he assured me that I didn’t owe anything, sent me a receipt of the zeroed out total, and told me that I was all paid for. However on the receipt it shows that I actually owed $406, not $300, and he couldn’t explain where the extra $106 came from. A month passes and I get a new bill for the same point of care for $122. I call back and spoke with April who couldn’t seem to figure out why I was sent two bills but assured me that this one was accurate and that she’d open an investigation. After three weeks went by I called again and no investigation had been conducted, and asked to speak with a supervisor to figure out what was going on. They took my information down and told me one would reach out to me within 48 hours. Another week goes by and calling again speaking with Mike he said there were no notes on the account of my previous call, no supervisor request, no indication of why I have multiple accounts here and that I still owed the $122 despite not being even sure where the $300 or $406 charges were. I paid the $122 and did not receive any kind of email confirmation/receipt so I’m sure this saga will continue but be warned that they do business with some extremely shady companies. If you have to go here, get in and get out, do not let them upsell you on anything and do not take their word that insurance will cover it (mine didn’t, and I have the highest tier of BCBS).I get that medical debt can be crippling, but for Christ sake this town already is dealing with so much poverty the last thing we need are more doctors trying to prey on people.

a week agoI was having severe stomach pain and saw Jessica Johnston, PA at Duke City Urgent Care on Irving. I got to the clinic at 8am right as they opened and was seen shortly. I made an appointment online the night before which saved time, as I had already filled out my medical history and insurance info. Both Juliana and Brittany who work there where friendly and efficient. They did a clinical exam, did some blood tests, etc, and I was called back in a few days with results and a referral. As a result, I got a colonoscopy within a week. That’s faster than I ever would have had that procedure scheduled had I gone through regular medical channels. Jessica was thorough and explained everything well. I will go back. And I hope they eventually offer primary care in this location. I would sign up in a heartbeat! Thanks!a month agoWe scheduled an appointment at 11am, the check in went smooth, but they didn’t have a provider to see us for over an hour. “Why have the ability to schedule at 11am and then see us at 1215pm”. Spent literally 4minutes with us. The provider could not even apologize for the long wait. Customer service is very poor and was a waste of time. She made recommendations to my underage child and I had to ask for those recommendations which she provided on a sticky note. We use to come here to be checked out by a physician in person for a $50 co pay vs doing a virtual visit which is a $10 co pay for us. The most recent visit, we went in and were seen virtually by a physician. Sat in front of a laptop, seriously. Other then being looked over by an EMT the experience and thoroughness was the same as doing a virtual visit at home. The whole reason we went in was to be physically examined by a physician/PA, concerns around breathing. The website, the front desk, signage say nothing about being seen virtually. There is a mention of upgrading their telehealth platform on the website but one could safely assume that telehealth applies to non in person visits. I feel completely scammed. This can’t be ok.5 months agoFrom the check-in to the appointment, ABSOLUTE INCOMPETENCE!!! I checked in online first, when i arrived the lady at front desk repeated EVERYTHING I DID…then a lady that walked in after me and had not checked in online was SEEN BEFORE ME…during triage, the blood pressure cuff squeezed my arm so tight that my hand literally TURNED BLUE, and no mention of what the reading was…also during triage the lady ASKED ME IF I WAS REGULARLY USING MY PRESCRIBED EPI-PENS?!? I would hope ANY MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL WOULD UNDERSTAND THIS WOULD BE USED ONLY IN EMERGENCY!!!!!Part of my symptoms required me to give urine sample, and I HAD TO ASK FOR MY OWN CUP!?!?
When I used the restroom THERE WAS NO SOAP TO WASH MY HANDS…are you kidding me, THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A MEDICAL OFFICE…do we need to teach these people the importance of washing their hands?????
I am actually a veterinary medical professional, AND THE ANIMALS WE CARE FOR ARE TREATED SO MUCH BETTER THAN I WAS TREATED TODAY!!!
