a week agoThe staffs were very friendly and kind! They made me feel at ease and guided me through the whole appointment. However, the wait time after I filled out the initial documents they gave me was so long and it was just for checking my information and it wasn’t busy either cause there weren’t a lot of patients. Other than that my appointment went smoothly. I love the staffs but please do something about the wait time.4 weeks agoI had to wait wait approximately 3 hours to take a drug screen. I couldn’t hear the staff at the front desk calling the names of the customers due to the loud socializing taking place in the waiting room. There were a group of people standing and socializing as if they owned the establishment and there was a man who made at least 30 business related phone calls all on speaker phone right next to me. They need to post signage for people to be quiet in the waiting room or go outside to handle personal business. On a positive note the young lady that finally helped me was very apologetic and was very professional.a month agoI made an appointment and arrived on time and after waiting about 2 hours and seeing people come in and get called back, I informed the ladies at the front desk that I had a 1030 appointment and one of them told me that work comp patient and walk-in have priority as if I was asking to be seeing for free and to made to feel like your less than human. Than I asked why give appointment if it means nothing?a month agoI arrived for a UDS, lab draw, and a basic physical at 8:40 am (they even wrote that time on my file when I arrived!). It is now 12:58 and I am still here!! It took over two hours to get my UDS collected, then I waited another hour before getting labs drawn, and another hour after that to be taken back a 3rd time for my physical. I was left in the exam room unattended for over 20 minutes. However, none of this is the fault of the staff. In the entire building I saw maybe 5 people in blue scrubs, plus the secretary (I think that was her role). They were all very sweet and polite, the staffing just makes everyone, both staff and patients, suffer from long waits and impatient attitudes.3 months agoI sat in the waiting room for over 2.5 hours for a drug test and physical… about 15 people came in after me and already left the building before I was even called. They lost my file somehow and that was why I never got called back sooner. Hopefully will never need to go here again. Otherwise the nurse I had was a Delight, she apologized and it wasn’t her fault but 2.5 hours is inexcusable. I got to the clinic before 1pm and I didn’t leave there until 5:17pm. Wasted my whole Friday.

a month agoNo one wants to go to the Dr because that means they are sick, but I know for a fact that I will get treated well here. The staff are very welcoming and caring from the front desk to the nurses and providers. I have had Dr. Gaspar both visits and he attentively listens to you and tries to find the best care path for you. I was seen very quickly and will always recommend this location.3 weeks agoThe doctor and the nurses were very informative. The atmosphere was very light and the waiting room was very clean everyone was nice to me. I came in because I suspected I had covid and sure enough I did a doctor checked and made sure that my lungs were clear it’s been a couple of weeks but I’m still coughing hope the nightmare ends soon3 months agoThey treated me with kindness, compassion and gentleness when I was feeling so miserable. They didn’t push me when I said I couldn’t talk, instead they made accommodations to read my symptoms off my phone. Every staff member from the front desk to the docs themselves were warm and sweet and welcoming and they got me treatment as soon as possible. I will forever recommend them.a week agoI’m a little upset I lost the paper on the way home because I wanted to praise the doctor I worked with specifically. Her last name started with an S. I will update once I find out. But she was super kind, personable, and attentive.I rammed my pinky toe into my son’s electric scooter a couple weeks ago and the pain hadn’t subsided. I just wanted to be sure I was good to walk on it because I have to be on my feet at work and so far, the pain has been up when I’m on it constantly and down when I rest. I’ve never had more than a day or two of pain and I was afraid I broke something.
The doctor I saw had a super pleasant tone and it felt more like I was speaking with a family member who happens to be a doctor than a doctor. She had me get an X-ray and confirmed there was nothing wrong but still suggested a topical anti-inflammatory that should help with the pain. She pays super close attention, too. She could see that I wasn’t walking funny because my foot hurt but doing so because I wanted to avoid hurting my foot by walking normally, if that makes sense. And suggested that I not overcompensate.
The receptionist was also pleasant. Made the check-in process easy and the check in form online and inside were simple and straight to the point. I can appreciate the simple process and the ease of checking in. And the web checkin where they tell you when to make your way to the center is wonderful considering I’m right up the street.
The whole experience was pleasant and easy. The only thing I didn’t care for was another patient playing her music in the lobby. I’ll be sure to bring my headphones next time. But that was small in comparison to the entire visit.
a month agoThe receptionist Ciara was very welcoming and positively talkative. The PA Martin Ball was amazing as well. He was very attentive, informative and gentle with me. I was very comfort and confident in the service I received while I was there.

5 months agoI have been an existing patient for a few years. 1st is that when registrar online. It does a time set up. When in fact there is no appointment when you come in. 2nd when I went a up to the desk. To ask a question a young lady interrupted me. I ask her to let me finish. As I continue to explain she interrupted me again. As I asked to let me finish talking. Because I have came in to be seen I want to keep my composure as she is younger than me as I notice. She stated I had an attitude. Why? Because I asked her not to interrupt me. I had asked for a team lead and explain the situation. 3rd as irritated as I was at this point. Another patient came to the desk coughing I had ask her to step away from me she was about a foot. That is why they have those plastic shields to talk through. Obviously she did not know the concept of those. 3rd to avoid confrontation. Ask another representative what the name of the person that was rude so I am able to let you know corporate who she was. Then that same representative that I had conflict started talking to me disrespectfully now at this time I have been calm now I’m down right just upset. So I started getting loud. She so immature that didn’t realize this was to avoid conflict. So now I’m very loud and explained to her that I Was being calm. We were arguing back and forth. She doesn’t understand that when you interrupt as a person being in the medical field. They should be taught that patients need to be heard. And not be interrupted and when you bring that to their attention they do not take any accountability of their actions. They get defensive. Y’all got to do better. This happened today 4/15/2023 young black woman with braces. If she would have been professional and know how to have a conversation things would have been different.5 months agoYesterday was my first visit ever at Medcare (rivers ave, North Charleston) I was very pleased. I received Fast and friendly service from all the staff members I encountered. I will definitely come here from now on and I’ve already referred a friend.3 months agoThe check in and triage process were both quick and easy. I was seen by a wonderful physician that took great care of me. I was in and out. Would definitely recommend.5 months agoI was able to check in online and given a time (and choice!) of when to show up. They even text you 20min before reminding you. It’s the worst being sick, but even worse is waiting forever in a doctors office and MEDCare at least takes care of that part. The staff is kind, professional and quick. I arrived checked in on the iPad and was called back by a nurse within 5min. I was tested for all the things I needed and given reasons as to why those tests were necessary. The PA I saw was genuine and really listened to my issues. He gave me all the best medications to get over my illness quick Will definitely be using this MEDCare again for all my urgent care needs!12 months agoI never write reviews for anywhere, but this time I was so impressed and happy with my experience that I feel the least I can do for them is write a review. I was feeling very sick and just looked up the nearest urgent care and randomly choose a place, and i’m beyond grateful this was the facility. I was treated by Dr. Moody and if I could I would have her be my primary care physician for the rest of my life. Her and the entire nursing staff went above and beyond and made me feel as if I were a sick friend/family member and not a patient or business client. They checked in with me after I left and made me feel welcomed when i returned for my follow up. Since they do not provide primary care services, a staff member even called his spouse for me to get the information of her physician that they thought would be the best fit for me. I am beyond thankful for the entire staff and the care I received. I will always recommend Dr. Moody to anyone for now on.
