  I hadn’t had a haircut since January, so I decided to go online and search for someone skilled in styling long hair for men. “Sheer Excellence” caught my attention, and I thought, why not give it a try? I made a reservation and arrived about 15 minutes early. When I walked in, Taylor greeted me at the front door with a warm smile, offering me a drink. Moments later, Anna, my stylist, escorted me to her section, where she seated me. She asked, “What can I do for you?” I replied, “You’re the pro, make it happen. I haven’t had a haircut since January.” With her scissors in hand, Anna got to work. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. A big thank you to Anna, Taylor, and the rest of the team at Sheer Excellence!

  I would not recommend bringing boys here. My husband brought our 8 year old son and asked the stylist to cut several inches . His beautiful long hair was cut almost to the scalp. Typically we are asked if we want scissor or razor cut. I always say scissors. Apparently, we were not asked this. We are very upset and now waiting for it to grow back.

  Both my son’s get their hair cut here and never leave disappointed! Britney is awesome! My 16 year old had Chloe his last cut as well and he loves his hair too! Parking can be tough. Depending the time of day. Very friendly staff always.

  Online booking was a breeze. I’d been procrastinating getting a haircut for quite a while, so one day I woke up and decided I needed a haircut TODAY. I booked a last-minute same day appointment and was in a chair within the next hour.

  I booked with Leah C. and she was great! I showed her pictures of my past haircuts and she was able to replicate it with ease. She was very detail oriented, occasionally checking in with me to make sure the end result was perfect.

  Overall a great experience, will definitely be coming back the next time I need a haircut!

  My barber was Timmaree and she was punctual on the dot for my scheduled appointment.

  She was very quick, yet highly meticulous and paid attention to detail.

  Since it was my first time, it took slightly longer than the allotted 30 mins because Timmaree kept making sure she was cutting it how I liked it, which I greatly appreciated.

  Timmaree was extremely professional and warm, and made me feel like a regular on my first visit.

  Also, the hot towel razor neck shave was extremely relaxing X)

  Great experience. Haven’t been to a barber/stylist in well over 10 years. Usually like doing my own. Decided to have someone else do it. And I was very impressed with Maya and the staff it was easy setting the appointment up online. They had me in the chair 2 minutes after my appointment time. I would definitely let Maya cut my hair when it is time. Highly recommend

  Shear Excellence Ballantyne has become both mine and my husband’s go to place for haircuts. They are conveniently located in Ballantyne Village, have a clean and welcoming waiting area, provides beverage service while you wait and have an awesome team of people managing the clientele as they come and go.

  Our stylist is Bea. She does an excellent job cutting our hair. Bea is very attentive, she listens to how we want our hair cut and styled and provides the perfect cut every visit. Scheduling with Bea is super easy through the Shear Excellence website.
